Weaves are attached to the natural hair by either sowing onto a track of micro beads that are fitted around the head or no sowing at all and held in place by beads 

Single Strand hair extensions get attached to the natural hair using small beads and need maintenance every 4-8 weeks where the beads are re-opened or fresh beads attached and the extensions are fitted back up to the top of the hair strand
